A strategic masterplan designed to shape the long-term evolution of a terrace home.

This project establishes a clear masterplan for the gradual transformation of a terrace house, developed in close collaboration with the owner to align long-term ambitions with budget, priorities and phasing. The strategy sets out a coherent architectural framework, allowing the house to evolve over time while ensuring each intervention contributes meaningfully to the whole.

At the centre of the plan is a new open kitchen and dining space that opens directly onto the garden, forming a generous setting for everyday life. Subtle shifts in materiality differentiate the kitchen and dining zones, creating variation within an open, flowing layout. A dedicated music wall with piano anchors the space as a social hub, encouraging gathering, creativity and shared moments.

The dining table is conceived as a built-in nook — a cosy, sun-filled corner that offers a quieter counterpoint to the openness of the room, and a favourite spot for both family and cat alike.
