Waterworks housing
Hampton, West London
A sensitive restoration and extension of Grade II listed Victorian waterworks buildings in west London, bringing new homes and co-working space to a remarkable heritage site.
At the western edge of London, the Grade II listed Hampton Waterworks buildings—originally built in 1853 for coal-fired pumping—are being carefully restored, refurbished and extended to create new homes and co-working space. The design celebrates the contrast between the robust stone industrial architecture and crisp contemporary additions, allowing old and new to enrich one another while securing a future for this remarkable heritage site.
